Harris Stanton Gallery

The Harris Stanton Gallery is celebrating its 21st year of offering the finest original artwork to its regional and national clients. Located in Northeast Ohio, the gallery represents select artists from the region and Europe.

The gallery's mostly 20th century collection ranges in style from traditional to abstract contemporary and includes oils, pastels, watercolors, sculpture, glass, photography, jewelry, fine crafts and original graphics.

The gallery enjoys close ties with many European artists, with the owner Meg Harris regularly traveling to France and Italy to purchase artwork directly from renowned artists such as Bernard Cathelin, Pierre Boncompain and Mario Avati.

Meg Harris (pictured above center) has been with the gallery for all but one of its years in business, first as director and then as owner beginning in 1994. Meg's strong educational background (BA Smith College, MA in Italian Johns Hopkins University), and living in London, England for 7 years make her a perfect fit for an international gallery. Her passion for art is also expressed through active participation on the Akron Art Museum Board of Trustees and her appointment to its Accessions Committee.

Mindy Tousley (pictured above right) joined the gallery in 2004 as our custom framer and gallery associate. She currently serves as gallery director. She has over 20 years experience in the  art and framing industry in Cleveland and Buffalo. She was also a partner of the well-respected Dead Horse Gallery in Cleveland from 1999 to 2003. She holds a B.S. in design from State University College at Buffalo, and is a practicing artist. She  also serves as co-director of City Artist’s at Work, a non-profit community of artists in Cleveland’s Art Quarter

and is a member of The Cleveland Print Club .

Nancy Reymann (pictured above left) joined the gallery in 1996, and served as its director until her retirement in November 2007 . She earned a BA in Philosophy & English from Stephens College, and an MA in English from the University of Akron, where she taught for 5 years. She spent a year studying in Oxford, England, and spent much of her time in art museums and galleries throughout Europe. A love for the arts was born. She is a member of the Director's Circle of the Akron Art Museum, board president of the Akron Automobile Assocation and a trustee for the Ohio chapter of The Nature Conservancy.
